As the first humane organization to be granted legal authority to investigate and make arrests for crimes against animals, the ASPCA is wholly dedicated to fulfilling the ASPCA mission through nonviolent approaches. The organization provides local and national leadership in three key areas: caring for pet parents and pets, providing positive outcomes for at-risk animals and serving victims of animal cruelty.

Founded in 1912, the Junior League of Chicago provides a positive force for change within the metropolitan Chicago area. The JLC’s commitment to empowering at-risk families, especially women and children results in continual evaluation of community needs, development of staffing, and securing funds for projects that fulfill this goal. The Junior League of Chicago develops projects independently and in cooperation with community agencies. Once a project is successfully established by the League, it is turned over to the appropriate agency or organization in the community.
